We envision a resilient and prosperous Africa nurtured by sustainable agriculture, reinforced health and education systems, an esteemed environment, and vibrant women and youth leading the way.
We Are
BASA Development Initiatives (BDI) is a woman-founded, youth-led non-profit organization legally registered in Liberia. Our mission is to uplift the less fortunate, focusing on women and youth. Our work spans across vital sectors such as Agribusiness, Education, Health, Conservation, Climate change, Gender Equality, and Youth Development. BASA, which stands for Born African, Stay African, symbolizes our commitment to fostering growth in Liberia and Africa, championed by its people.
Intervention Areas
We operate programs across six domains: Agriculture, Health, Education, Environment, Youth Empowerment, and Women Empowerment, aiming for a resilient and prosperous Africa. The agriculture initiative enhances food security and farmers’ livelihoods via modern farming techniques and agribusiness support. The health and education programs improve disease prevention and healthcare access and promote quality education, including adult literacy. Sustainable practices, climate change mitigation, and conservation are central to the environmental agenda. The empowerment programs are designed to enhance women’s access to education, foster leadership, improve economic participation, and advocate for rights, while the youth program develops skills and leadership, preparing future African leaders.
Embrace the opportunity to create meaningful change. Volunteer with BDI and be the catalyst that propels African communities towards resilience and prosperity.
