Agriculture is the backbone of Liberia. It's time it paid like it.

Agriculture contributes about one-third of our national GDP, yet remains dominated by low-productivity, subsistence farming. Women and young people carry the burden—women perform over half the work but lack access to land and finance, while youth face high unemployment. BDI addresses this through an integrated approach that connects the entire value chain: production, processing, and commercialization.

Production

Training in climate-smart agriculture and improved inputs to increase yields.

Processing

Adding value and reducing losses through small-scale local systems.

Commercialization

Linking cooperatives to structured markets and consistent buyers.

Strengthening women-led producer groups

Mentoring youth agribusiness startups

Facilitating access to finance & savings

Building business & enterprise management skills
