Our Governance Framework
BDI's governance framework is organized around four interconnected dimensions, each designed to ensure the organization remains effective, ethical, and accountable at every level.
Board and Leadership
The Board of Directors provides governance oversight, holds the management team accountable, and ensures BDI's strategic direction remains aligned with its mission and values.
Human Resources
BDI invests in the people who deliver its mission - through structured hiring, professional development, and a positive organizational culture grounded in the organization's eight core values.
Systems and Technology
BDI is building the digital infrastructure to manage programs, track results, and communicate impact efficiently and transparently across all eight program areas.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
BDI's MEAL framework ensures that evidence drives program improvement, results are credibly reported, and communities have a meaningful channel to provide feedback.
Accountability Framework
BDI's accountability framework operates at four levels - to our Board, to our donors, to our partners, and most importantly, to the communities we serve. Each level has specific mechanisms to ensure transparency, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
